Ella's Pink Scrapbook #28

It's time for another scrapbook challenge over at The Pink Elephant This week's challenge is a color challenge; red yellow & blue. I'm still working at those Alaska pages & Im still on my daily index pages. So that's what this layout is, it's from our day at port in Juneau. You can't really see it in the circles at the bottom but it says day 5 and June 23 I did the numbers in a lighter ink and the camera didn't pick that up. I've been taking on a pretty simple style with my layouts lately, I think it takes me longer to do a card then a layout these days.

A Quick Christmas Card

Hero Arts was doing a 90 min. scramble challenge this afternoon. They announced what you had to do for your card and you had 90 mins. to create a card. This challenge was to create a card using a non traditional Christmas flower. I immediately thought of my new Tattered Florals die I got. I cut those out of some tissue paper then stamped them with the Hero Arts script stamp with Vintage Photo dye ink. I then sprayed it with spray adhesive and sprinkled on some mica flakes. I used the Hero Arts Fabulous Flourish as my background image using the Mahogany dye ink then rubbed some Vintage Photo onto the background too. I topped the card off with a Hero Arts sentiment adorned with some twine, and a snowflake with a little jewel in the middle of it.

Here it is, I finished it in about 1/2 hr, well within the 90 mins! Love the scrambles they do.
Now it's off to do a little bit of scrapping before heading out to some friends for the evening.
